Privacy Policy

Pale Blue Hours Uploader ("the app") is a private tool that runs only on its owner's computer. It uploads videos that the owner produced to the owner's own YouTube channel, Pale Blue Hours. You must agree to this policy before using the app; it is shown before authorization and linked from every upload preview.
YouTube API Services
The app uses YouTube API Services. By using the app you also agree to the YouTube Terms of Service. Google's handling of your data is described in the Google Privacy Policy.
What information the app accesses, collects, stores and uses
- Google authorization token for two permissions: upload videos
(
youtube.upload) and read your channel (youtube.readonly). The app cannot delete or edit existing videos. - Your channel ID and channel name, read to confirm that uploads go only to the channel you approved.
- Information about videos you upload with the app: video ID, title, requested privacy setting, upload and processing status.
- Files you choose to upload (video, thumbnail, title, description, tags) from a folder on your own computer.
How the information is used, processed and shared
- It is used only to upload your videos to your own channel, apply the thumbnail you chose, and show you the upload status.
- It is sent only to Google/YouTube, through the official YouTube Data API.
- The app is operated through an AI assistant chosen and run by the owner (Claude, by Anthropic). The previews and status messages the app returns (for example, title and video ID) are processed by that assistant so it can show them to you. The authorization token is never sent to the assistant. The assistant's own local session history may keep those messages for up to 30 days.
- Nothing is sold, used for advertising, or shared with anyone else.
Advertising and third-party content
The app does not show ads and does not allow third parties to serve content or advertising.
Information stored on your device
The app stores the authorization token and its settings in a folder on your computer that only your user account can read, and keeps a local upload log for at most 30 days. Your channel name and ID are stored only while the authorization is valid and are deleted with it. It does not use cookies. During authorization it briefly runs a local web page on your own computer (localhost) to receive Google's answer.
Deleting your data and revoking access
- Run the app's
revogar.pycommand: it revokes the app's access with Google and deletes the token, the settings (including your channel name and ID) and the upload log from your computer, immediately. - Deleting the data the app stores does not delete or change anything on YouTube. Videos you uploaded stay on your channel; to delete them, use YouTube Studio.
- In addition to that, you can revoke the app's access to your data at any time on the Google security settings page: https://security.google.com/settings/security/permissions.
